Black and Cream

OOTD for those warmer days at the office

TOP: Cream sleeveless embroidered button down top from the street markets in Vietnam
BOTTOM: Black midi skirt from UNICO Clothing
SHOES: Black Zara soft polyester court shoe - kitten heels (so comfortable! I love the pointy toe cleavage, it gives an illusion of longer slimmer legs)
ACCESSORY: Patent Belt

Prints on White

White Lace Top | Midi Skirt | Zara Two Toned Sandal Heels | Black Ferragamo Belt | Ralph Lauren Sunglasses

Travelling and playing dressy dressy isn't my forte, but here goes... I am at a resort which includes a large theme park, we walked around a little then returned to the beach at the hotel (Vinpearl Resort). The midi keeps it conservative and cool in this heated weather, the mid sandal heels were comfy and I love white :)

Asymmetric

N&M Pattern Printed Top | H&M Black Asymmetric Skirt | Nine West Zelexa Wedges

Another work OOTD. I tend to find a lot of clothing from overseas  as it fits me well and they always have my size (especially Asia, or USA cause only a minority is petite there).
The brand N&M is based in Vietnam, their designs are very simple and great for the working environment hence I tend to visit every time I return. The top I'm wearing was about $15AUD, which is a little pricey when converted to VND, but again its a staple item in my wardrobe for those warmer days in Melbourne and I've warned it for the past 2 years.

Turtleneck

H&M Black Boyfriend Blazer | H&M Black Cuffed Tapered Trousers | Mango Sleeveless Turtleneck Top | Nine West Zelexa Black Wedges | Tiffany Beaded Bracelet | Gold Love Bangle | "H" Brown leather belt

OOTD: my agenda at work is comfort and to me that's usually pants and shirt. On the random days when I don't want to pair my usual dress shirt tucked under my trousers I would pick out something like this sleeveless turtleneck top from my Mum's 90s' wardrobe to mix things up. To hide all my bonny parts I threw on this boyfriend blazer which makes it more work appropriate.

TIP: Mix things up with old and new items, or ravage through your family's closets, your outfit may turn out okay. It's like going thrifting but in your own home.

Flared

Saba White White Top | David Lawrence Midi Tight Flared Skirt | Nine West Zelexa Black Wedges | Ferragamo Belt | H&M Fitted Blazer

Office OOTD:
So I sit and stand all day at work (like most office people do), hence its never a good idea to flash myself therefore this A-line tight flared Midi Skirt will hide all inappropriateness. This midi is one of my favourite buys last winter as it fitted well, made with thick stretchy material making it easy to move in, and it's got minimal seams (seamless hemline). I didn't think I could find something I'd like at David Lawrence, I guess I was wrong, I only stepped into that shop because it had an extra further 40% off the sale prices, personally I thought this brand was designed for older more conservative ladies. This was a $44 item, the last time I checked they still had the sale and stock on their shelves at DFO Essendon.

You can't see the details of the white top but its also designed with unfinished seam lines, sticking with the minimalistic theme I paired it with this skirt and added the black belt to tie it all together (my waist don't need to be more cinched, but that is the purpose of most belts).

Wedges are my favourite type of heels to wear all day as it gives me height and keeps me comfy. To finish off I would never leave the house without a jacket or scarf in Melbourne as our weather is very temperamental.

Layering Black & White

As all Melbournians are well aware there are sometimes 4 seasons within a day here, this is a simple classy way to layer black and white to wear for work, meeting or casually out.

OOTD:
TOP (inner – outer layer): long sleeve sheer white lace top (found in the street market of Vietnam), H&M boyfriends fitted blazer, Alexa Chung inspired tweed black & white coat.
Bottom: Forever New thick zipped skinny pants (was on special for $12)
Heels:  Oroton classic patent pumps

Bag: Givenchy black Antigona medium bag (something borrowed, there was a little secret that was revealed to me on it’s price and where to get it… will tell you what I found out on my next post, some of you may already know)

All Black

See through Top with singlet (mum made it) / Black Silk Tulip Skirt from Forever New / Belt from Cue / Applaud Patent Pumps from Nine West
Hi! How are you doing?

I don’t know why I wore all black yesterday, I liked all the different textures I had on. I wore this to work which seemed appropriate enough.
This top had been in my wardrobe for over 7 years since my Uni days, made with see through material, button cuffs, open stand up pleated collar and puffy shoulders (another of mum’s creation), the cotton singlet inside was a gift.
Silk black tulip skirt seemed right in this combo, and to finish it off I added the 70% off Cue Belt.

Enjoy the rest of your days… ladies and gents stay beautiful, healthy, wealthy and wise
xox take care :)
