Lace On Lace

#OOTD
Top: button up white lace crop top (unknown brand)
Dress: Thurley navy lace dress
Shoes: Two toned Zara Heels

I really wanted to re-wear this old navy number again but because of my skinny stature I needed to find something that could cover up my collar bones... Which this white crop did nicely without covering up the intricate hem line of this dress.

Phu Quoc 2014

Welcome to Phu Quoc! This is my  partners hometown, his family (the Dang family) owns a few businesses here.
The sunset from 1000 star Hotel (Ngan Sao Hotel) is magnificent. This hotel is owned by the Dang family and currently is ran by the next generation. My partner told me it was built by grandpa Dang  in 1997 (who passed away 3 yrs ago) as a three star hotel. Due to unorganised, outdated management's it's not doing very well, hence there's a lot of bad reviews. People still choose to come here because it's very cheap (some rooms are only $50 a night).
Grandpa Dang loved his zodiac sculptures and statues hence I've read reviews describing it as "strange, scruffy, populated by plastic animals", hehehehe I agree cause it is now 2014 and it does look outdated... that's just to give you some insight to this "strange" old looking hotel.
The food I had were all delicious from this hotel. Some People are sceptical because they are unsure of the hygiene here
Fried fresh prawns
Chicken coleslaw
Shaken beef with fries
sweet bun with marinated chicken
beef dipped in hotpot rice paper roll
Seafood hot pot
This is a working kitchen at a house I visited, best food are made with wood

Below is Phu Quoc's Night Market - seafood Galore
flan cake with ice
sugar cane juice and seaweed drink
grilled banana, corn and sweet potato... this makes you very flatulent but it's delicious, can't resist
can you guess the fruit?

This is where the Dang make and distribute their home brand Fish sauce... all interational orders welcome! They are one out of two companies in Vietnam that are authorised to ship to Japan (fact I discovered). They have over 170 of these wooden barrel baskets, each one contains over 2 tones of fish... yep do the maths! crazy amounts of fish go into one drop of fish sauce. It takes about a yr or two of fermentation to get the first drop

Silky Blue ZARA OOTD

Hi! How are you doing?

On my occasional summer vacations, I would pack lightly and in-expensively just in-case I lose an item or two during the trip, I wouldn't get so devo.

These are images taken during my visit to PHI PHI Island (Phuket, Thailand) and Port Douglas (QLD, Australia), snorkeling adventure.
As you can see I’m not a swimmer, I go for the experience, but I was scared shitless – worst fear, drowning (yep I can’t swim), and OMG motion sickness is not my best friend. I was sick for several days after that snorkeling adventure in Thailand due to the small rocky long boat however I was fine on the QLD speed boat out to see the corals on the Great Barrier Reef.

Dress: A Blue Silk dress with bright floral print from Zara ($20!), it’s a flowy dress with a high split on either sides, it 100% silk hence gets wrinkled easily (especially in my suitcase). I usually cover myself with something like this on top of my bathers to hide my boney figure.
To shorten this dress so it wouldn’t get wet, I would tie it into a knot or tuck it right under my bathers (As you can see in the photo).

Sandals: Nine West America - $19

So I guess this out fit of mine was under $40!!!
Oh not really, Coach sunnies was a gift from the BF (does that count?) and the hat was taken from my Grandma's wardrobe heheheh she got it for $5 during our short weekend to Sydney

What’s your must pack item during your summer holidays?

Enjoy the rest of your days… ladies and gents stay beautiful, healthy, wealthy and wise
